Meet and Greet at Frida Kahlo Museum

Gather at Frida Kahlo Museum, where our knowledgeable guide will provide an overview of the day’s itinerary.

11:15 – 12:00
Transfer to Xochimilco

Enjoy a comfortable journey to the beautiful lake of Xochimilco, known as the «Floating Gardens of Xochimilco.»

12:00 – 12:30
Boat ride to «La chinampita»

We will take a trajinera (ancestral transportation method in lake xochimilco, to go to «la chinampita» where we will get ready to go to the apiary.

12:30 – 13:30
Beekeeping Experience

Get up close (safely, of course!) to a hive and learn about its different parts, the roles of various bees (queen, drones, workers), and the fascinating communication systems they use.

13:30 – 14:00
Axolotl Breeder

We will go to another nearby chinampa to meet the Axolotl, a sacred animal that is in danger of extinction.

14:00 – 14:30
Lunch

We will take you to a local restaurant during the lunch break, allowing you to savor authentic Mexican cuisine. (food not included in the cost of the tour)

Return to Frida Kahlo Museum

Conclude the day with a comfortable transfer back to Frida Kahlo Museum, marking the end of an enriching journey.
